Muzungu with Kids (Jinja, Uganda)
You don’t have to venture far to find village life
in Uganda,
and the sound of the kids’ cheerful greeting is almost deafening. The
‘muzungu’ (Swahili for ‘white
man’) had arrived by cycle, after a quick swim in the river. The nearby‘Source of the Nile’ is fabled by white
water rafters who ride the Grade 4 and 5 rapids and 15-foot high walls of
seemingly life-threatening water. But village life here was more tranquil,
interrupted only by the sounds of a local bicycle or a falling mango.
