ALBERTA, CANADA

(back to Homepage)

During 2004, I had the pleasure of visiting some terrific places in Alberta. I never realized how scenic Alberta was, relying on the stereotypical image of flat farmlands, wide open spaces and Rocky Mountain views. Highlights included a memorable picnic in Ya Ha Tinda National Park, home to the horses that patrol the Rocky Mtn parks, as well as a wedding reception / family reunion campout in scenic Tangent (pop. 40). But the highlight was experiencing the ‘Red Mile’ from a  motor-home after the infamous Game 6 Calgary flames loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2004 Stanley Cup final.
