Meat Grinder (Coptic I love the lighting of this shot. It hits the subject from the right showing the detail of his hand, the blurred movement of the wheel, and the intricate grain of the cow slab. Notice also a child’s hand behind the table, and the face of an on-looking child at the bottom left. There may actually be a third child in a black shirt, behind the rightmost part of the meat. I suspect these are all the grinder’s children, wary of the two strangers who curiously stopped to take a picture of something so ‘ordinary’. It’s alarming how may butchers one can find on a hot day in the open street…kind of makes your stomach belch. |
