Pyramids and Cityscape ( The best pictures have the best memories behind getting the shot, and this one is no exception. On the way out to the dunes, I was bucked off and dragged through the sand by my horse, laughed at by the kid, and almost fleeced for more dough. But it was worth it. The polarizing filter does magic with the sky and sand, and I love the three clouds above the three pyramids. It also shows how the city itself is encroaching on this famous 3000 year-old setting. By the way, when the horse owner asked for a tip upon my return, my reply was a very calm ‘sure….don’t pick your nose on a bumpy road’. |
